36-month surgical training program leading to completion of all requirements for PMSR/RRA (Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency/Rearfoot and Ankle Reconstruction) designation. Served on Graduate Medical Education Committee as at-large member Academic years 2010-11 and 2011-12. Was peer-elected as Vice President for Academic year 2012-13. July 2013-Present: Main Line Foot and Ankle Center, Ardmore, PA

Multidisciplinary practice specializing in all aspects of care of foot and ankle issues including but not limited to diabetic foot evaluation, wound care, biomechanically-based deformities such as bunions/hammertoes/flat feet, sports injuries, traumatic sprains/fractures. Patient care actively ongoing in multiple settings including above noted hospital and wound healing centers, in multiple office settings as well as nursing and rehabilitation centers allowing for a greater degree of care continuity. Practice is also actively involved in the Podiatric Residency Training Program at Main Line Health. As a recent graduate from this training program it is rewarding to assist with ongoing resident training and actively serve as a Core Faculty Member.

May 2007-August 2007: Research Assistant, Gait Study Center, Temple University
School of Podiatric Medicine

Participated in the beginning stages of a pilot study entitled “Dynamic plantar microvascular skin response to compressive loads in at-risk diabetic and healthy control;” this study aims to quantify the interaction between external stress patterns and local tissue perfusion in an effort to determine their collective role in the formation of diabetic foot ulcers. Helped to construct the Automated Laser Doppler and Force Delivery System and began preliminary tests to help formulate a precise protocol for data collection.

Served as integral part of active research laboratory studying varying characteristics of Protein Kinase C. Technical proficiency in the following techniques: radiolabeled protein assays, Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), protein expression (SF9 insect cell lines and E.coli) and purification utilizing FPLC, cell culturing; served as lab manager coordinating ordering of all materials, maintaining lab equipment, renewal of service contracts, etc.

Assisted in wide range of research projects. Key responsibilities included maintaining colony of transgenic mice (breeding, organizing by genotype), harvesting tissue samples, tissue sample processing and sectioning, computer analysis of scanned tissue images, and routine lab maintenance.
